2015 Bike Station League - Round 1

Welcome to everybody who has registered to take part in the Cuchulainn CC Summer League which this year is sponsored by the Bike Station.  Apologies for the two week delay in starting but everything is now in place for our first race to take place on Thursday 23rd April.  To get things started the first race takes place on a short (26.4km) and fast course, from Fane Bridge to Dunleer and back to finish on the Fane Bridge (See image below for Start and Finish Line position).  For those of you who want to (and are capable of) putting the hurt on the others there are a few drags between Castlebellingham and Greenmount to test the legs.

Sign on for this race takes place at the Geraldines GAA pitch in Haggardstown.  Sign on between 6.15 and 6.45 with the first race group due to leave the Fane Bridge at 7pm.  A map showing the location of the Geraldines GAA can be found by clicking HERE.

The Geraldines GAA club have very kindly allowed us to use their car park for pre-race sign this year as the Fairways Hotel is now closed.  As Thursday night is a busy night at the Geraldines pitch, with underage teams training and playing, the committee have asked that riders stay in the area designated to us and do not cycle through the rest of the car park where parents and young children will be walking.  Cuchulainn CC will have marshals in place to direct riders to the designated area.

We are very lucky to have the Geraldines car park available and we must respect, and adhere to, any requests from their committee.  Please make sure to take all litter home and leave absolutely nothing in the car park.  Toilets are available at the pitch and must be used if required.
